Do you think its actually worth upgrading from a S6 Edge to a S7 Edge?

I can't get myself to upgrade from my s6 edge to an s7 edge! Yeah it's waterproof. Bit faster. Hardware's better. But, I really don't think many people including myself will be happy spending that much cash to get a phone that's almost identical in looks. To be honest I couldn't believe Samsung even called it the S7 Edge. Should've been more like an Apple iphone6 to iphone6s. Seeing as it's basically only small upgrade should use really sell that to people as a totally upgraded new design phone when the simple fact is its just an upgraded S6 Edge...

Viewing Internal Storage of [generic phone] as Mass Storage to recover deleted file?

I have this cheap generic [Alcatel Idol 2 Mini] phone, I want to recover a [simple TXT, HTML, XML] file from a generic [Tomdroid] app its Internal Storage I accidentally deleted, with Windows software Recuva.

Windows only shows Internal Storage when I connect the device as Media Device (MTP), and I even see my deleted file there, I just cannot copy-paste it to Windows desktop. When I connect the device as SD Card, the SD Card shows up as Mass Storage under Windows, but only the SD Card, Internal Storage remains hidden then.

Recuva is a good tool to recover deleted files. How to get back my file?

compatible recovery image, e.g. clockwork mod, for inoss i7a and clones

I was looking for a compatible recovery image, e.g. clockwork mod, for a phone. It is a Greek branded turbo-x pi (π) but there are many clones of it out there:

innos i7a (China) main model?

clones:
Rivo Phantom PZ-10 (Pakistan)
Kruger&Matz Soul (KM0409) (Poland)
Impression ImSmart S471 (Russia)
Turbo-x pi (π) (Greece)

The phone has android 4.3 stock rom, and a recovery that provide a backup/restore function that seems to work, but only for the current rom, so there is no way to downgrade 4.4.2 from a 4.3 backup (tested by someone else, so I am not sure).
A so presented on the net compatible recovery image does not work in my case (logo stuck), this one is:
INCOMPATIBLE, can destroy stock recovery image: maxule-cwm-6.0.3.3-fix.img

There is a compatible update (tested to work by someone else) (I guess compatible with all clones, but not sure of course):
RIVO_Phantom_PZ10_V5_emmc_qcn-official+factory+firamwear.rar

-- But the new recovery image does not offer a restore/backup function.

Is there a chance someone with android/cwm sources/dev environment, can port cwm for this one, I will provide the recovery image.
An android sources build environement would be hard for me to prepare.

[GUIDE] Fixes for Deadzone error (Consuming errant click) at Navigation bar

Recently I've had problems with my Moto X Style (XT1575), where I wasn't able to use the navigation keys. A quick look at the logcat told me that the touch registered was being ignored. It was similar to this.

Similar problems with other Nexus phones were found here
This seems to be a digitizer issue and most people under warranty were able to get replacements. Others, like me ;), were not so lucky.

The most obvious workaround is to use pie controls. But if you want to use the navigation controls again, there is one way. The deadzone spot extends to 1 cm above the screen, so, if the height of the navigation bar was altered, the controls would seemingly work again.

NOTE: This does not fix the dead spot in the screen. It will still be there until you change the digitizer. ROOT IS REQUIRED.

Method 1: Using apktool

-> Download Apktool.
-> Open cmd and navigate to adb folder
-> Pull framework res apk: adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
-> Put both the files in adb folder (so that it'll be easy).
-> java -jar apktool.jar if framework-res.apk (Installation of framework).
-> java -jar apktool.jar d framework-res.apk (This will decompile the apk).
-> Navigate to /res/values/
-> Open dimens.xml with wordpad, notepad++, etc..
-> In search type navigation, it should show you the navigation, navigation landscape with the default dpi values (48 dpi).
-> Change this to 64 dpi and save.
-> java -jar apktool.jar b framework-res (This will recompile apk).
-> Put the application in system/framework.

Method 2: Using Xposed Framework

There is an app called Xperia V Mods for Xposed framework which offers the ability to change the NavBar height. Default is 48 dpi. Change it to 64 dpi. This may not work on all phones. But luckily, it worked on mine. :p

[Tutorial] Meizu m2 note bootloader unlock guide by Kevin.MX(aaawqw)

Finally we have a guide to unlock the bootloader of Meizu m2 note. We need Mediatek SP Flash Tool, MTK phone drivers and the images/bin files for unlocking. No modaco superboot, no fake tutorials ant more:);)
Now here's the guide:
1. Download the files I provide;););)
Then unzip it. You'll get a folder with FlashTool, Phone drivers and unlock images.
2.Install drivers for Mediatek platform.
3.Flash the temp-unlock-secro.img via Flashtool.
4.Flash secro.img, lk.bin, preloader_meizu6753_65c_l1.bin via Flashtool.
5.Disconnect USB data cable and power on the phone. If you see the "=>Normal boot" sign(it's quite small.......) in the left bottom cornor of the screen, then the unlock is done. You can now flash things in whatever way you like. The guide is over~~~
I hope xda-developers can help work out a recovery image:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed: If you can port the recovery and it works well, just leave a comment here;) I need that very much:p
PS: I tried to port a TWRP recovery from Elephone P8000 but the screen is upside down:( I tried to add ro.sf.hwrotation=180 in default.prop but it didn't work:confused::confused: And I also tried to add setprop ro.sf.hwrotation 180 in init.rc. It didn't work as well:crying: Who can help fix this? Or I need to compile the TWRP myself?:confused:)

how can i root Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace

lately i've been trying to root my samsung J1 ace sm-j110H baseband version J110HXXU0APD3.

i have tried kingroot (android anc pc) kingo root( android and pc) genuis root 360 root and many others but yet none of those managed to root my phone.

there are ways of downloading frimware and using Odin but the J110HXXU0APD3 :confused: :confused: frimware doesn't exist. was wondering if anyone can help.

really want to root this phone. :(

Huawei ID- service location restrictions, the system unable to provide services?!

ok, so im on MM B361, rooted, in the UK.

when i try to install a theme i get a prompt "your phone has been rooted. continuing to use Huawei ID may pose security risks".

so i press continue and when i try to login ...it says

"due to service location restrictions, the system is unable to provide services to you"... (this never happened on any previous firmware i've used)

is this because im rooted, or located in the UK? any workaround to install themes from the Huawei Theme App?

Redmi 3 Pro: most purer-stable Rom out there?

Whats up?

Bought the Redmi Note 3 Pro Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core 3GB/32GB version.
After read a lot and especially the ROMs suitable for Redmi 3 Pro thread
I read that the MIUI's rom is onerous the phone with so much bloatware apps(cleanmaster, antivrus, Micloud and so more).

So, what is the most stable rooted rom w/o bugs at the area? (Read that the CM13 still have some annoying bugs)
I'm totally noob at the beginning after buying a new device

Saw the MIUI 8 V6.7.7 -BUT- still prefer more "puerer" rom and ofcoarse - with the least Lags as possible.
Prefer a rom that comes rooted comes with twrp + gapps installed that keeps the great battery life of the RN3 PRO.

Looking for: Clean+fast-NO LAG+comes with recovery(twrp preferred) and Play store.
What would be the most suitable for my needs?
Is there a "tut's" for how to?

I don't have an custom recovery, So I installed the SDK manually by this steps:
1. Decompressed xposed-v86-sdk22-arm.zip
2. Copy all files in "bin" to "/system/bin" with "rwxr-xr-x" permissions
3. Copy the file in "framework" to "/system/framework" with "rw-rw----" permissions
4. Copy all files in "lib" to "/system/lib" with "rw-rw----" permissions
5. Copy the file "xposed.prop" to "/system" with default permissions
6. Rebooting the system

At the main menu of Xposed I see this message under "Framework" title:
"The lastest version of Xposed is currently not active, Did you install the framework and reboot?"

And when I press on "Framework" I see this message:
"Xposed framework version 86 is installed, but not active, Please check the logs for details."

When I switch to "Logs" I see that:
"Could not read log: /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/log/error.log: open failed: ENOENT (No such file or directory)"

Can someone help me please?

Screen showing random lines, then black, can screen replacement help?

Phone screen status:
On screen there are vertical lines in random colors, and if I press on the screen semi-hard it turns black( more force results in white screen). When I depress it return to partial visibility. By that I mean left most and right most part of screen is at most times black. Touch screen is working for the most part(can't pull down notifications, else seems to be working).
My question is will the sceen replacement solve the problem or is the damage more severe?
I cant provide pictures, don't have other phone :) If opportunity arises, I will post them.

[BRICKED] Stuck on USB logo screen

Hey everyone, my ZenFone 5 A501CG running on lollipop has been bricked. I had unlocked my bootloader a few days ago, and then I relocked it using the same person's software as my phone kept freezing. But after I relocked it successfully, my phone couldn't boot.

If it's connected to PC when I try to boot, after the ASUS screen at the start, a USB logo with a white bar shows up and stays there. Afer some time, the bar turns red.
If I try to boot without PC connected to it, the USB logo and white bar flash, the white bar turns red, and my phone switches off. When I try to charge my phone, it shows the battery for a second, then the USB, then it switches off.

Right now my device is rooted and has fastboot working.

Google won't accept my email adress in the frp screen

Hi guys,

Don't ask why, at the time being I tought it was a good idea to disable oem in the developer settings while having a custom rom. That having said, I needed to do a complete reset with odin and flash the stock firmware. Because I still had my google account tied to my phone, they now want that I sign in with that account. After many failed attemps I changed the passwort an finally logged in. But then it said that I should use an account which was previously used with the phone. And I am 100% sure that that is the right one, but google tells me otherwise. I read something about a 24h lock if the password is changed. Is it as simple as waiting a day?

I know it is this email, because when I logged into google in the web, it showed me that the device was recently factory reset. It also showed me my phone nummber and I could see apps which I installed on this phone. I only have on, so that must me it?
I'm really lost here. I already searched for ways to contact google, but I came up with nothing email-related to my problem and I really don't wan't to call them. IIs there a working way to bypass it? I know there were some with earlier security patches.

Also, does anybody know, where I could post this in the google forums? I looked at all of them, but none would fit into my problem. The closest I got wouuld have been google play store

Soft bricked my Xperia V need help

I can access Flash mode or fastboot. Tried flashing stock 4.3 ftf and use stock dual recovery kernel however I can't get past Sony Logo. There's no colorful waves animation only backlight. Tried flashing stock rom with CWM and I successfully flashed it however then I get yellow triangle, exclamation mark inside and phone and then it restarts.


Yesterday I fixed it but stupid me tried to update system to 4.3 an I bricked it again!


No idea what I can do now this was caused by flashing wrong Kernel. I thought it was for V but it was for SP!

Please share your knowledge with me.

ATT H810 This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked

Hey, I am helping out a mate and have run into a bit of a conundrum. He has a ATT LG G4 (H810) that he purchased from America and has recently moved back to Australia. I have offered to help him unlock his phone so I purchased an unlock code online but when I attempted to enter it I got "This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked". The SIM Unlock Process menu could be accessed using 2945#*810# However the network unlock option yields "This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked" and each other option states "Your phone is not personalised".

Currently the phone is on Android Lollipop and I have managed to root it. I would just like to know if there is a possible way to unlock it.

My G Watch R have problems.. :/

First, I connected dock to charge my G Watch R, It turned on screen itself. So, I turned off the screen, It turned on again itself!

Second, I don't turned on health sensor, It turned on the health sensor, and I can't turned off! So, I try to reboot and retry to use, It turned on again.

Third, My G Watch turned off itself while to charge it. I don't know and I can't fix this problem.

Fourth, Reminder can't use it. My friend said, "Reminder is use Google Search App". But I think it is not, I try to use Reminder, It said "If you want to use Reminder, Please check it in your phone", So I pushed the button And It said "Android Wear was stopped".

Fifth, Sometimes My G Watch R have Android Wear Not response issue.

What happend my G Watch R?

I think My charge dock have so many trouble issues in my G Watch R, So I try to change my charge dock.

How to Solve 'Unauthorize Device' in ADB

Hello, im using O+ 3 and just installed the Oxygen 3.2.2 OS
I wanna root it but got problem because my ADB says unauthorized

Ive already tried to dig some similar case and possible answers thru the internet but none of them work for me

Ive tried to enable disable the debug permission
I also already make sure my ADB is the latest one.
Also already try to delete the 'adb_key' files from my PC (im using windows 7 64bit)

The problem is most user which has similar problem with me got the 'authorized debug prompt' popped up again on their phone, but its not working on my phone.
It appear only one time at the very first time i connect it to my phone, but i accidentaly click 'cancel' on that prompt
But after that it never re-appeared again.

Can someone kindly help me? Thanks a lot

Surface 3 (not pro)

Hello!! I have a Surface 3 and i have tested Remix OS and looked for info. What i have checked is Surface 3 hasn´t got a touchscreen driver for Linux software (someone was developing it) so touchscreen isn´t able to use it.

Surface 3 is one of the best tablets right now and a known device, so... why don´t we have a functional Android Rom? Please, help and support for a Rom for Surface 3 or dialogue with Remix OS team for include a touchscreen driver for Surface 3! Thanks! :)

To boot in TWRP press vol + and power with the phone OFF, release power on boot and vol + when you see the recovery.
Go to install and select the zip file!
It will install the ROM ( it will do a FACTORY RESET in process ) and it will copy to SD Card a factory reset zip that will reset your phone and your ext4 partition if some day you want to do a full factory reset, the default factory reset don´t reset your ext4 partition, it will copy the factory and twrp recoverys img to install with Rashr and some wallpapers to.

Overheating

Hi, 3 day ago I recieved my Mi4c (3gb) and just after couple of minutes surfing on the net I realized, that the top of the phone is really hot (the bottom was normal). The next day I tried it with game - after just one or two rounds (about 2 minutes) phone got hot again - again at the same area. I downloaded some app and I looked at the temperature after running the game - it showed even 55 degrees Celsia. Is it faulty piece or is it just software issue, which can be fixed by different ROM ?

(I9505)Sim detection error after use With other country Sim

Hello all,

I have a sim detection error with my french Sim

I come back from Cholydays in croatia. I did use during my trip a Croatian Sim prepaid. Every thing is ok in croatia, but when i came back in france, my french sim did not been detected by S4.
I try:
free, Sosh Sim and no sim detected.
Old croatian prepaid sim is well detected and roaming network is OK
french prepaid sim ' SIMA Mobile, network is OK

I have already try last stock ROM (I9505XXUHOH2) by ODIN
I have already try CM12/13

Did you have an idea of what could be my problem ?

urgent help needed - xperia c

Hi people. I own a Xperia C. Recently, I was trying all sorts of mods on it. I had installed Busybox before and updated it today. Then I just randomly pressed install button, uninstall button and then install again. Then a problem came in my device. Busybox broke. Wifi is no longer working on it. I tried reinstalling busybox and even factory reset. SuperSU is now not even uninstalling, ie I can't even unroot my phone now. Now, what do I do? Should I flash Stock ftf? Will it work? If so please link me there. Regards, please help urgently!!
Note: I can access my device, working. But Wifi isn't working and in ES file explorer if I go to the mount option in root it crashes. Busybox root not found even though SuperSU grants it.

Water issue

I live in norway but i bought my xperia z3 compact (D5833) on ebay (from china). All seems to be great but i get programm and system updates all the time. I have upgradet as i was asked to do at least 3-4 times, but as soon as one upgrade is done the next one comes up? It sais version 23.5.A.0.575 android programm update this time. Is this the latest one? Is it usual one have to upgrade several times after receiving a new cell phone? it uses android 5.1.1 thanks for reply, regards, Rianna

blown away with the sprint version - got it unlocked and all sim are working

yesterday I got the S7 from a guy for the price of $420 sprint locked and sealed.
i got 2 sims. VZW and AT&T.
i went ahead and order the $7 unlock from ebay and texted him after i follow the requirements which is from PE1 downgrade to PC5. in less than 5mins the phone was unlocked as i can see him working remotely. putting my VZW and AT&T sim will not work even you factory reset. quite frustrating right? so what i did is load this

now my phone is so amazing. AT&T sim worked and has LTE. the VZW sim worked and i can see it has volte on the menu!
every sim you switch it will ask to restart then the phone will automatically configured. no need to add APN

hope this will help. i can root this but NO thanks, i love Samsung pay! :)
oh by the way, i bought a soda on the vending machine and quickly Samsung gave me a $20 promotion from some outlets you choose :)

Help please, can someone explain this in layman terms

I am enclosing some code from an app I found on my phone. It is from the manifest.xml file. Please could you help me decipher it... I suspect it may have been used surreptitiously to activate my phones mobile hotspot. Perhaps I am way off base, but I have never even once used the hotspot functionality on this device, yet my data usage shows almost 2 GB of tethering data in only 4 days. [Q] Restore Original IMEI LG P715

It was long before I have rooted my mobile and flashed various KDZ through flash tool and flashed many custom roms. Some how my IMEI has changed long before itself, but I didn't cared much of it since everything was ok. But now I just wondering if there is any way to restore my original IMEI.

There was guide for restoring IMEI after brick by @neutrondev that was only for SINGLE SIM version, Can anyone help to Restore IMEI of DUEL SIM version of L7 II or Anyone have duel_sim.qcn file? :rolleyes:

What, if any phone, would you change your S7 for?

Currently awaiting Elephone's to be launched flagship Edge phone and LG'S V20 later in the year. Perhaps a S8 if changes are sufficient enough?

I don't think either of the first two will feature weather resistance but nothing else out there at present I'm interested in. Very happy with the S7E.

Phone dead after installing ROM - Elephone p9000

Hello,

Today I downloaded a few stock roms and I installed them with SP flash tool smoothly without any issue. In the end I installed again the latest stock rom but this time my phone went dead, the screen is black and my pc doesn't recognise the device.

Also, I opened the cover and removed the battery without any luck.

Please help me! :'(

I have a modified USB port that can deliver about 4amps at the normal USB 5volts will that effect my phone if I charge from it? Will the phone suck to much power and damage the battery?
I'm assuming the circuitry to limit the battery from charging to fast or over charging is built into the phone and not in the charger?

Nexus 5 Hard Brick situation

My Nexus 5 was drained off battery and was not taking charging suddenly. I entered the hard reset mode( power+volume down button) and accidently did a "restart bootloader". Since then my phone has been hard bricked! I cannot enter into recovery mode as well( power + volume down button). But I am sure that if I can get the bootloader running somehow, my phone will be back. I am sure it does not have any grave hardware issues as such. But the maintenance (service) center says , they will need to replace the motherboard, which is too costly for me.

Can anyone give me any pointers of how can I get my phone working again?

Playstore keeps crashing

So I was tinkering around with the play store but little did I know I messed up .com.android.vending COMPLETELY and uninstalled it and the play store because it wouldn't stop crashing and stuff then when I reinstalled it all the google apps said there's no internet connection so then I went online to find a solution and I did and I deleted hosts from etc and then I went back to play store and it seemed to work (yay!) BUT then it crashed so much and it's not a system app and I think that's the problem but all the other google apps were working 100% although I need play store to update my apps and it wont even update it'll just crash before updating or downloading anything. (I have a Rooted Device by using KingRoot and Root Explorer)

I sent in my phone to be repaired after it got stuck on the bootloop problem that's been caused by their hardware failure. It just returned to me today and it's been updated to build number: MRA58K... Software version: H81021x. I've been searching since earlier if anyone had the same software version.. Can this version be rooted? If not, is it possible to downgrade and root it again?

Device help draining battery

So I checked out the update for the Help app which had the tests for all these device functions, one of which was GPS. And since then it has been consuming battery life. The day after I tested it consumed over 50% of battery. I have cleared data, disabled and uninstalled updates to it and yet it still consumes some battery. Any idea why? And how to fix?

Sound problem when calling solved by custom ROM?

My friend has a problem with his galaxy s4 active. His microphone and speaker work perfectly when testing with music and audio recording. But when calling someone the speaker is dead silent and the other person can't hear him. I saw a bunch of threads where they reheat the audio IC and so on. He is running android 5.0.1. Now my question is: is this a software problem and can it be fixed by flashing CM? Thanks for any and all replies.

Edit: If you're wondering I know how to flash custom ROMs and have a lot of experience doing that.

How to stream every sound played on my to pc to my phone?

I want to stream all of the sounds played on my pc to my Windows 10 Mobile device. It has the latest build of Redstone in Insider Fast ring, and it's a Lumia 535DS. I alredy can stream the sound over LAN (with Stream What You Hear), but i also want it when i'm not at home. How can i do this? My PC also works with Windows 10, it has build 10586.494

Music player that uses the device default theme?

I know music player questions arw a bit saturated, but I am looking for a music player that uses the default Android theme (that is, stock Samsung theme on TW phones, Holo in AOSP 4.x and Material on 5.x+). The reason is, I appreciate harmony in design, and when I am using an Holo-themed ROM I get annoyed by the fact that the Material Design is somewhat "enforced".

As far as I've searched I've got nothing close to my need, so I wondered if XDA folks could help me on this.

One spot on left side of screen non responding to touch.

So I started noticing a few days ago that the send button for text messages wasn't working with the keyboard up. Only when I dismissed the keyboard could I send a text message. Well it turns out that the same spot doesn't respond to touch when selecting or swiping on the home screen as well. I have tried using multiple launchers, and rebooting fixes for a short amount of time.

I am getting ready to Odin PF2 to hopefully fix this issue, and hopefully fix a few other issues I have with this phone. Like Facebook and YouTube tell me I have no network connection when I can do a speedtest just fine.

If anyone else has had these issues please leave a comment, or if you have another solution.

[Help] Some Remix 403 issues

Hi guys,

Do you have any idea how to make Remix 403 detect my music folders again? I have two favorite players, JetAudio and JustMusic. Both had been working properly with build 402. However, after I have upgraded, it won't detect music even if I already set the folders.

Another issue I have is with Photoshop Express - clicking Gallery button won't open the Gallery app.

Screen issues

Hey guys, I would appreciate your help.
I suddenly started having a weird issue with my device (EU unlocked), where almost half of the lower screen has some sort of "shadow" and it flickers when it draws something new i.e opening an app.
For some reason it also carries to bootloader, recovery, and boot animations.
Direct screenshots don't show the issue on the picture.

Edit:
Just to clarify - I never dropped my phone and it never got wet. I was watching live TV when the issue suddenly appeared.
I will try to take a picture of the issue.

[Q] [XPOSED] Issues related with Xposed Framework

I installed xposed (it took around 20 minutes to install) and then installed 5 modules, and when I rebooted I saw that xposed is installed but not active. And when I tried installing xposed on top of it again it didn't do anything, do you know how to fix it?

Weird problem, now without system

Few days ago my HOX+ suddenly turned off and would turn back on, but crashed after few seconds. I plugged the phone to a charger and everything worked again. However, since then the story happened over and over on various occasions. I thought it was my fault, because of playing with some root apps; reverted everything back, but problem still existed.

I decided to flash a new ROM. Everything went fine, flashed kernel, wiped all, but after starting the install of the ROM, my phone crashed after the line "patching system image unconditionally". I tried to restore stock backup, but after reaching few percents, phone crashes again. I realized that this might likely be a hardware issue.

Furthermore, I can't enter recovery (unlike bootloader) without charging my phone even though I charged the phone before doing anything.

So, is there anything else I can do or should I put my HOX+ into a recycle bin?

Root? Octa Core A83T Cortex A7 8×2.0GHz

Hello everbody,

I would like to get myself an XIDO Z110 tablet as it is a pretty cheap yet slik gadget. However it is essential that I have root access on the tablet to install a firefall, Xposed, xPrivacy, etc.
The Octa Core A83T Cortex A7 8×2.0GHz (Android 5.1 Lollipop) used in the XIDO Z110 tablet seems to be rather new and I could not find any information on rooting, not on the XDA forums nor on Google.
Can anybody name me a tool or method for rooting the XIDO Z110? If any other gadget with a A83T processor gets successfully rooted (MeeGoPad A02, NeuTab 10.1", Allwinner 10.1" A83T to name a few) does that also apply to the XIDO Z110?

App installation problem on J7 2016

Hello guys. I've tried to install some free games like Bad Piggies, Hungry Shark World, Sky Force Reloaded, Where is my water 2 etc. They are full free games. I've tried apk and the installer shows "App not installed" , I tried to install from play store it shows some kind of error after download completes.
Is anyone facing this issue? Any fix? I'm thinking maybe rooting and flashing a Custom ROM. Will that fix this?

Teclast P98 9.6inch 3G

I just bought a Teclast P98 3G 9.6" tablet - was hoping to get some help with it. It comes with 32GB internal memory but the memory has been partitioned by the manufacturer - I can only use 1.94GB internal memory for apps / Android OS. 2-3 apps later and the internal memory is full. The remaining memory can only be used to store media - not install apps. Can anyone suggest how a way to for me to use the entire 32GB memory for apps, like with normal Android devices? Remix OS 3 Play Store Not Working

GPS problem (Searching using GPS...)

Just recently, my Alpha 850M has a problem with "Searching using GPS" every time the GPS is turned on. I've tried tightening screws in the back but that didn't help.

I found a temporary fix, but the problem would come back. Here's what I did:

1. Turn on GPS
2. Open the GPS Status app
3. In the GPS Status app > Menu > Manage A-GPS State > Reset
4. Turn off GPS
5. Turn off GPS
6. Turn on GPS

Doing this stabilizes the GPS. While in the GPS Status app, I can jump directly to the Maps app (by notification bar shortcut) and this will retain a good GPS. However, if I exit (not quit) the GPS Status app to go home, then open the Maps app, GPS is lost again.

Within the GPS Status app, I can now toggle GPS off and on many times and GPS will remain functional. So, the problem is software related (and not hardware)? Any suggestions on a fix? I'm running KK on stock ROM with Nova.

Ascend P7-L00 signal drop off and right db

Hello.
I am using a P7-L00 (dual sim) in Greece. I can use 4G as well as 3G or 2G. But in some cases that I have low signal, it drops off the signal. I found that Huawei it protects the battery with this way but I preffer to use it with low signal instead of nothing. I found at build.prop a section for CDMA and the limits for low/moderate/good/poor at db. Could you inform me if I need to do sth in those limits? Which are the values for right perfomance? Is the right place at build.prop? Is sth else that I can do to avoid the rules for signal drop off from Huawei?

I Bricked my Htc Amaze any one Help please.

Help me getting rid of this Recovery.

I am facing a serious problem with my HTC phone ( Desire 820 Dual Sim running stock android 6.0.1 ). Bootloader is unlocked.
I was trying to root my phone using WinDriod Toolkit, while installing custom recovery my phone Hard-Bricked ( even LED was not glowing when I connected it with charger). Somehow I managed to start my phone. Then I tried a software iRoot to root it, again while installing custom recovery it Hard-Bricked ( This time LED was glowing continuously :confused: ) After this I promised my not to Root my Phone again. :p But the real Problem is that even when I restart my phone, It gets Bricked. I have to use Three Buttons Combinations to boot it up and what not. :eek:

I've been using a custom kernel on my G900W8 but I'm getting a lot of performance issues, so I want to go back to stock.

Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE Modem Baseband flash with Odin

Hello guys,

I am verry sorry to bother you with this, but I am just to dumb for this part.
I am quite familiar with the whole custom rom business but I try to fix my mothers phone where I installed a Cyanogenmod custom rom (12.1) some time ago.
She experiences some mobile network issues which, I guess, are related to a old baseband / modem version causing troubles.
Can you tell me which version is the right one to flash via Odin or preferably via twrp?
I plan on updating it before installing the lastest 12.1 CM snapshot.

I believe she has the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 International with LTE and Snapdragon processor.
Under baseband version ("About the phone") it says I9505XXUEML6.
(I dont know if this is correct I can remember that I once installed a Google Play Edition Rom to get rid of the bloatware).
The phone was bought in Germany.

I know that you guys are probably busy with more important stuff but I'd really appreciate it if you could quickly help me with that.

Update System with Terminal Emulator with Error "no space left on device"

I follow the following instruction to update my Meizu Pro5 with success for several times, but i got an error message "no space left on device" this time. Is there any way to solve this?



1. Enable root
Enable root by tapping on Settings-> Accounts-> My Flyme-> Personal settings (first option) -> System privileges and set it to open - accept disclaimer and confirm.
2. Download and successfully install Busybox (from Google Play or see .apk below)
3. Download and install a Terminal Emulator (from Google Play or see apk below)
4. Download the correct and desired international (i) ROM/firmware (update.zip) for your device
5. Download and use the update.zip (firmware) converter that creates the required system-i.img
Click here to download converter first
Copy system.new.dat and system.transfer.list (from the update.zip) to the folder "in" (see converter folder)
Then start the converting process by starting System-conVERTER.cmd and pressing option 1 [enter]
If successfully converted you can find the system-i.img in the ''out'' folder.
6. Copy the converted system-img from ''out'' to the internal memory of your Meizu device
7. Go to Settings-> Display-> Sleep and set it to at least 10 minutes
8. Start the Terminal Emulator and run (type) the super user command
su
A permission popup will come; give permission by tapping allow (always allow).
9. Now run (type) the command for installing the system-img.

dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/platform/XXXXXXX/by-name/system

Replace XXXXXXX with the correct partition system for your device
MX4 Pro = 15540000.dwmmc0
M2 note = mtk-msdc.0
MX4 = mtk-msdc.0 (OR mmcblk0p6)
MX5 = mtk-msdc.0 (OR mmcblk0p18)
Pro 5 = 15570000.ufs

Example for MX5 : dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/by-name/system
Note: Pro5 might require: dd if=/storage/emulated/0/system.img instead of /sdcard/

10. The installation should start after the ''dd if'' command, but please note…

…it may seem that the copying/process did NOT start because you didn't notice it, but it DID start.
do NOT type a new command or whatsoever, just…
…be patient and give your device 5-10 minutes to process.

11. When the process is done you'll see a # at the very end
Your device should be unresponsive by now - this is normal
12. Now just shutdown your phone (hold power button) and reboot it
13. Once successfully booted your device should be running an I-rom

Once in Flyme again it is wise - but not necessary - to completely reset your phone. Go to settings->about phone->memory->factory data reset-> check both boxes and click start cleaning (this could take 5-10minutes). Always backup your stuff if necessary.
