HTC One Max T8160 Stock RUU Needed

Hi,
I have an HTC One Max China Unicom Single SIM version phone.
It is the T6UHL (8160)
I was unable to update it to Lollipop and tried out a custom ROM which didn't work out. Want to roll back to stock and I am unable to find the RUU for this version of the phone.
Can someone provide me a link to the Stock RUU for this version of the phone?

Action Memo is missing basic functionality [Note 4, 5.1.1.]

Hello guys, I am happy to discover your community and I really need your lights.

Every video that I have seen on youtube shows that in the action memo there is button next to the erase button. (it's suppose to be the button that converts the text to actions).
But in my (just bought) devise there isn't! I really search everything on the web and I cannot solve this problem. Also it's important to notice that I am missing the convert handwriting-to-text functionality and in s note, it's like a package is missing that allows the device to have the functionality.

Stuck on boot screen

Went ahead and updated my Rogers N910W8 to 6.0.1 coming from 5.0.1. Flashed the firmware from here using odin

After the flash I went into recovery to factory reset. Booted up started setting up the phone. Then I flashed cf-auto root found here using odin again.

Rebooted and started using titanium backup to remove/freeze bloatware.

Went ahead and flashed twrp-3.0.2-0-trltecan.img.tar (http://ift.tt/1WxWWum) again using odin.

Rebooted and started using the phone went to charge the phone and started using it again. Installed more apps such as adaway which required a reboot. This is when my phone would not get past the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 powered by android screen. In the top left it says set warranty bit: kernel in yellow font. I can access recovery fine and download mode as well. I tried factory reset but it still won't get past the logo screen. Is my only option at this point kies?

Hi... I wanted to ask something... Is my phone completely dead? Can i fix it? (S4 Mini)

I used Cyanogen mod 13 custom rom

Few days ago i was playing with my phone and it discharged completely... I turned it on with charger and continued to play.. Charger was broken (but kind of worked), so my phone turned off again... After an hour charging i tried to boot it... It showed my custom boot animation and phone just turned off.... I tried again, and it turned off again..... Third time i tried to turn it on, it showed cyanogen boot animation (that blue thing)....Then i booted to recovery mode and tried to install same rom, but it failed. Then i tried to boot phone again, but this time it just showed Samsung logo.... After 10 minutes i tried to install original Samsung rom using Odin, but it stayed on 3% for few hours and failed.... After this phone asked to fix it using Kies.. I tried, but it said "Kies does not support initializing" (something like that)... After this i tried to install CWM custom recovery with Odin (in download mode) and it failed.... After i turned off phone, i never turned it on again....
(i tried to install original rom using another USB cable)

Now then i try to connect phone to pc using USB cable, phone sometimes vibrates, and windows makes that connecting sound (then you connect something to pc it makes that sound) and windows says "installing device driver software" and "installing device"

Is there a way to fix my phone without changing motherboard?

PS: Sorry for any mistakes... English isn't my first language :)

Note 4 Issues When Flashing Roms, Please Help

My younger brother has a Note 4. It was previously on Kitkat 4.4.2, stock rom, rooted with dual recovery...

He wanted to manually update to either a 5.1.1 Lollipop rom or even 6.01 Marshmallow.

After having tried several 6.01 roms, the phone either bootloops or the sim card is not reading...

After having trying to flash the radio & bootloader to flash via odin, it keeps failing when trying to do so.

Could someone please recommend a simple Lollipop rom or Marshmallow rom that actually WORKS and the sim card is read as it should?

With my current Sony Z2, it is so much simpler, flashing any roms automatically comes with the kernal, radio, recovery, root, etc...

With Samsung it is much more complex and finding a rom which comes with everything seems difficult to find.

Some roms even ask to choose a kernel & modem/radio. How the F**K do i know which one I need? Even when selecting one it results in a bootloop.

I'm not interested in overclocking or using a custom kernel. I just want something that works and any 5.1.1 rom or Marshmallow rom would do. I want something as close as stock as possible. Not interested in Cyanogen mod, custom roms or such.

My Xperia E3 doesn't start !

Hello,

This morning turning my phone on, everything worked, until the error messages like "com.snapchat.android process suddenly stopped" (I have received several of this) including one which bugged my phone: "the prossessus Xperia ™ 11 has stopped working" (the two "1" appeared like the™).
There I received messages that appeared and stood out immediately: I could not use my phone: I reboot. And here's the problem:

My phone is on and stays blocked on the first boot screen (Sony).
My phone is rooted since 8 months, and when it starts, it does not even reach the violet LED: so i'm unable to access the Recovery Mode.
When it charges it's the same: it remains stuck at the boot screen plus a red LED usual for chargings, and when I unplug the screen is still on with red LED indefinitely.
To turn it off (for not stay on all the time), I push with a pencil lead into the notch "off" (at the back of the phone on the left of the SD card)
The worst: When I try to connect my phone into fastboot mode or flashmode, the LED (blue or green) lights, but Flashtool doesn't recognize the device. When I unplug the device, the LED (blue or green) is still lighting. So I cannot flash (which I wanted to do) with Flashtool.

So I think it's a problem because the phone hangs at the beginning of the boot, maybe it's a bootloop, or a hardbrick (?).
This problem appeared like that, I think having done anything weird lately. The phone is one year and a half.

It's very difficult for me because I can not do anything that is in my possession and I greatly needed.
Anyone have a solution for this? Its very important.

Where to buy GENUINE S-Pen in UK

Hi everyone, I have been stung now three times buying S-Pens, they all seem to be fake. From Hyper Direct Ltd online to twenty_four_seven_shop on eBay.
Ebay one was awful, button didn't work, tips not removable, while the Hyper Direct one was very convincing - only realised when there was no pressure sensitivity.

Amazon too seems full of fakes and Samsung itself don't carry them anymore. So can anyone recommend a reputable shop that doesn't sell fakes, or fakes that are pressure sensitive!!!

[Help] [Question] Which ROM of Lollipop is stable without lags?

Hello guys, im a n00b but yet i carry great intrest in android, recently switched from iphone to a6000 - so which ROM of A6000 model is stable the most in your opinion and in lollipop. I have tried cyanogen 12.1 (both 32bit by ED-300 and 64bit by satagass or uber_dimion) with kernel of Telo however after opening a few apps my phone freezes and screen goes black and its a complete overkill for a tech savy, so can you please give suggestions of which rom with which kernel is best compatible and any other tweaks i may be missing out on. Also is there a way to disable autostart apps that run such as facebook messenger when you fresh boot the phone. Thanks in advance =) Cheers :good:

SM-N910C - Call over bluetooth problem

Hello to all, let me explain my problem. I have a Note 4, C version, Sony A400BT car audio with bluetooth. Since two days, i managed to connect at car audio different phones, like S3, S3 Neo, Allview, Note 4 F, all works. Nokia 700 with Symbian works too, Lumia 520 with Windows phone works too.

On my Note 4 C, when somebody call me, or i call somebody, nobody cant hear me. I hear all sounds/voices/ from phone call, or sounds from media. My problems is nobody hear me. Is like microphone is set on Mute. It not activate car audio microphone, and phone mic too.

On my Note 4 C, i have a Gear 2 watch connected 24/24. No problems to connect at laptop or other devices.

What solution do you have? It is a bluetooth hardware issue? (but since all is ok with Gear 2 ...)

Port D855 STOCK M to D857/858/858hk

Hello guys!
As we dual-sim g3 users known,our software version is not up to date everytime:(,and the system doesn't smooth like others,so in order to be able to experience the smooth stock rom I want to sharing something about how to port single sim variants like d855 to dual-sim (d857/858...).

Here we go,I will use d855_30f as a base rom port to d858hk.
1.Download the KDZ(both d855 and d858hk),extrat it(WindowsLGFirmwareExtract by @bullghost) to get the boot and system,deodex it ,I am using SVADeodexerForArtx32_v4.1(by @savdev)
2.Now we have to know about the differences on hardware(wifi,bluetooth,FM) between them,the dual sim variants are using broadcom chips instead like korean variants(F400,not include FM,because they have TMDB).So we should take these drives from d858hk30a.

3.the boot partion you can use stock bumped d858hk30a boot.
use AndroidImageKitchen(by @osm0sis) to extrat boot.img and add comments in ramdisk/init.lge.rc

[Guide][Root] Lenovo Vibe P1M

Root Lenovo Vibe P1M

This tutorial will teach you exactly how to root Lenovo Vibe P1M without breaking it.

In order to root Lenovo P1M, you need to meet this checklist first.

Make sure you have made a backup of all the important files on your phone. Don't proceed unless you have backed up your files successfully.
Make sure your phone is fully charged.
Install USB drivers for your phone on your PC. Finding the USB drivers shouldn't be a problem. Just look for them at the Lenovo official website.
You should enable USB Debugging on your phone in order to root it using this tutorial. To turn on USB debugging, simply go to Developer Options under Settings and you'll find controls for turning on the USB debugging setting.
Your phone should allow installation from unknown sources. You can enable this option for the purpose of this tutorial from Security under Settings.

Install TWRP
Follow the steps below. If you're unsure about something, ask in comments below before you proceed with it.

Download [from this link] and install ADB fastboot drivers on your PC.
Download TWRP recovery for your phone from this link.
Extract the files from TWRP file and locate recovery.img file. Move this file to your PC where you installed ADB. Usually folders for installed programs can be found in C:\>Program Files.
Now open Command Prompt (CMD) by right-clicking in empty space inside the ADB installation folder.
Now simply type the following commands in order.

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot recovery.img
fastboot reboot

This is it. The first command will restart your phone in fastboot mode. The second command will flash recovery image on your device. The third command will reboot your phone. Now should have the TWRP installed on Lenovo Vibe P1M.

Root Lenovo Vibe P1M
Once you've TWRP installed, you can follow the steps below to root your Lenovo Vibe P1M.

Download SuperSU from this link.
After downloading, move the SuperSU file to your SD card.
Now go to command prompt again and type the following command.

adb reboot recovery

Now your phone should restart in recovery mode. Once it does, locate the option to install from SD card on your phone. Provide the path to SuperSU file on your SD card and let the installation process finish.
Reboot your device. This is the final step that you need to complete in order to root Lenovo Vibe P1M.
Verify root status using an app of your choice. You now have gained root access to your phone.

How do I "properly" root my Z5...?

So I just got my E6653 and updated it to 32.0.A.6.152 for iovyroot compatibility, but I have a couple of questions before I proceed that I'm hoping someone can answer...

I have the following battleplan:
- Backup TA with iovyroot.
- Unlock Bootloader.
- Flash Marshmallow.
- Root.
- Restore DRM features.

1. So from what I understand, once I unlocked my bootloader I can flash any (compatible) OS to my phone?
2. Once I have flashed and rooted a Marshmallow build, if I relock the bootloader and restore the TA partition, will the root be gone? Or will I be stuck in bootloop due to DM-verity?
3. Can I just use this: http://ift.tt/1RT53jA with my DRM key instead of restoring the TA partition for full DRM-features and retain the rooted system?

UMT - Ultimate Unlocking Tool - Request/Review

Im curious if anyone else has one of these boxes and if so have they been successful in setting theirs up? I purchased 3 of the UMT boxes from ultimatemultitool [dot] com thru ebay and have had a very poor experience with setup. The drivers seem to be losing their mind and icant get the smartcard to read but once every 15-20 times i connect.

Auto-touch touchscreen problem(Ghost Touch)

Hello i purchased a zenfone 2 (4gb ram) almost an year ago(out of warranty now)
while using it the touch screen starts acting automatically and while the phone is locked it wakes up the sceen and then goes crazy

changing the touch did not solve the problem if someone had a similar problem please suggest a way to solve this

i have read that it might be beacuse of the updates as the touch was working fine on some older build.... i will get my ZF2 back on 31st may

Samsung Good Lock problem

Hi there! I installed Good Lock on my note edge but I have a problem, since the layout of the notification bar is setted on the extreme right of the primary screen, leading to the disappearence of the last digit of the clock.
Any other of you noticed the same thing? Anyone figured out how to Fix it?

ZE550KL installed CM13 latest nightly, cannot make calls.

Guys, I installed the latest nightly build 13.0-20160527-NIGHTLY-Z00L
Android 6.0.1

Installed gapps. Everything is working. Sim got network too. But whenever I'm trying to make a call, the phone restarts.
Even I called my number and phone restarted. How to fix this issue. Please help. I really like this ROM and was planning to use it on daily basis.

Problems moving apps to external SD card

I'm trying to move apps from internal memory to my external sdcard. I've tried link2sd, foldermount [root], and apps2sd but they all give an error that they can't write to the external SD.

I found these instructions that should enable writing/mounting: http://ift.tt/1XXiYWy

So I downloaded Root Browser to modify platform.xml, it wouldn't let me save my changes. It just gave an error "Failed saving platform.xml"

Does anyone know how I can move my apps to the external SD card on 5.1.1? I feel like I've exhausted all the web searching that I can think of :confused:

Here's some background on what I've done thus far:
* obtained root via KingRoot
* replaced with Super-Sume to get supersu
* verified my root access with Root Checker.

My phone:
* Xperia T2 Ultra D5316
* Lollipop 5.1.1

Volume down and Power key not working occassionally

I am currently on 6.0.1 build MOB30G stock. At times the power and volume button don't respond. no matter how hard you press them. If the screen is locked, the only way to turn on the screen is to get a call or attach the charger or simply press the power key for 10 seconds+ and the phone restarts. Rest of the time the buttons seem to work properly. Judging its more of a software problem than a hardware one , I have done a factory reset on the phone.. but the problem has reoccurred. I believe a recent ota update may have caused it.

Any one else facing the same issue?

Same old problem: many useful apps need root, Barclays needs UNROOT ... and barclays becomes smarter and smarter every time, not allowing any room for tweaks.
Any hope to have SuperSU cloaked from Barclays Mobile, or somehow to allow apps that need unrooted phones to run in rooted environment?

How to get "reactivate setting" in Huawei Device (Development)

Hi folks,

I stumpled over the setting "reactivate system" which whatsApp holds on Huwei Devices. I am developing a chat app, which gets killed everytime screen goes off. I followed all instructions for the new doze mode in Marshmallow. This is the last option that I can imagine that causes my problem.

Does anybody know what I have to do, to make my app show this setting?

Can't boot into TWRP (E6633)

I successfully unlocked the bootloader of my Sony Xperia Z5 dual (E6633) and installed TWRP:

"Android OS" consuming insane amount of data in background

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, on ver 6.0.1; Build No:MMB29K.G935FXXU1APD1

Notice couple week ago, I have finished my monthly data quota of 3Gb, upon checking data usage close to 1/3 is consumed by "Android OS" in background.

Since then, I been on quest to find out what actually caused the drain on data. I have tried

1. Run in safe mode, "Android OS" in background continue
2. Factory reset, "Android OS" in background continur.
3. "Reset Network Setting", work for a couple a day, then "Android OS" in background came back again.
4. Off all Google Account Sync and Off background data, "Android OS" in background continue too.

Now I am really out of ideas... really disappointed with Android now.... planning to sell off my phone and switch to Iphone

Lg g3 ls990 secure boot error 1003 works fine

I recently rooted my Lg g3 on 5.0.1 zvc & I installed twrp through the twrp manager app on google play but when it boots into download mode it says secure boot error 1003 and it boots into twrp normally and that's it nothing wrong with it . when I select the reboot option it boots fine should I ignore the message since it isn't bricked ? or what?

Major issue

Yesterday I started having issues with my phone. It's AL. Out as if someone else is controlling it while I'm on it. I'll open up say my file man. And go to look at something on my SD card or click on whatever and it backs Me out of it. It's happening to almost everything now except recovery. It's driving me nuts. But a little history. I woke up yesterday, went to try and connect to a network since I'm in the field for a month. It didn't work. The signal is really spotty. I flashed my cm and tw backups to see if it'll do anything since I was picking apart my tw at the time.

Remove default bloatware from S6 Edge

Hi guys i managed to root my Tmo s6 edge in 5.1.1 with the Unikernel bit now i want to remove the stock bloatware such as Facebook, whatsapp, instagram, and tmo crapware. But i used root explorer to go into the folders but i found folders with apps inside. So my question is do i just delete the app that says fir instance: facebook stub or the whole folder containing the facebook apps inside and every instance of facebook that i find on the root directories?
If anyone can help or has a comprehwnsive list of safe-to-remove apps please let me know or forward it.

Known Issues
Accessibility
Unable to listen to TTS output when pitch is set near maximum level.
Accessibility features and settings may be disrupted with the user adds a Work profile, including magnification gesture and setting. Accessibility state is restored when the user next touches the associated settings.
Camera
The Camera app has exhibited instability; it may crash in various circumstances, such as when launched in multi-window mode.
Pressing the shutter continuously in panorama mode may cause the Camera app to crash.
Audio
A platform audio player issue prevents some apps from functioning normally. For example, Skype and other apps are affected by this issue.
Connectivity
When a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) peripheral role device advertises a service and a BLE central role device connects, the peripheral role device disconnects very quickly.
Wi-Fi connection may be dropped when the screen is off.
RFCOMM connections are unstable and may result in data corruption and dangling connections.
The active network state (NetworkInfo.getState() and NetworkInfo.getDetailedState()) might return incorrect values during some restricted background scenarios.
Launcher
The default launcher's All Apps tray may become unresponsive after cycling screen off / screen on. Returning to the homescreen and relaunching the All Apps tray may resolve this issue.
Keyboard
When updating a device running Android 6.0 or earlier to the N Developer Preview, Google Keyboard does not preserve preferences data such as recent emoji and sound settings.
Google Indic Managed Keyboard may be unstable.
When entering text in a password field, the user can select Russian as the input language but the keyboard remains in English. This prevents the user from entering Russian-language passwords.
Locale and languages
When using a right-to-left (RTL) locale, the system may unexpectedly switch to left-to-right (LTR) presentation after restarting the device.
Media
Media playback be be unreliable on Nexus 9 and Nexus Player, including issues playing HD video.
Multi-window mode
Device may freeze when changing orientation in multi-window mode.
Several apps currently have issues with multi-window mode:
The system UI may crash when docking Settings > Display > Screen brightness to multi-window.
The Camera app may crash when launched in multi-window mode.
YouTube may crash when launched into multi-window mode. To fix the issue, you can clear the YouTube app's data at Storage > Apps > YouTube.
Google Play services
Apps using Google Cast through Google Play services may be unstable when the user selects a system locale that uses letters and numbers outside of the ASCII range.
Work and enterprise
The Device Policy app may crash when the user unlocks the device with the "device policy status" screen pinned.
After setting up a work profile with file-based encryption enabled and then turning off Work, users must unlock primary profile screen lock to once again access Work apps.
Cannot open work apps after reboot in file-based-encryption with work mode off.
Device reboots when removing the security pattern lock and opening work app/personal app in the multi-window.
Setting DISALLOW_VPN_CONFIG is causing the consent dialog to appear in always-on-vpn set by Device Policy Client.
Traffic is not locked down until VPN is connected in always-on-vpn mode.
External storage
Apps may become unstable when the user moves them from internal storage to adoptable external storage (this can include SD card or devices attached over USB).
Screen zoom and multiple APKs in Google Play
On devices running Android N, Google Play services 9.0.83 incorrectly reports the current screen density rather than the stable screen density. When screen zoom is enabled on these devices, this can cause Google Play to select a version of a multi-APK app that's designed for smaller screens. This issue is fixed in the next version of Google Play services and will be included in a later Developer Preview release.
On devices running Android N, Google Play services 9.0.83 currently reports Vulkan support but not Vulkan version. This can cause Google Play to select a version of a multi-APK app that's designed for lower Vulkan support on devices with higher version support. Currently, the Google Play Store does not accept uploads of Apps which use Vulkan version targeting. This support will be added to the Google Play Store in the future and fixed in the next version of Google Play services (to be included in a later Developer Preview release) any N devices using the version of Google Play services 9.0.83 will continue to receive versions of Apps targeting basic Vulkan support.
Notifications
MessagingStyle does not show notifications with "null" (self) sender.

Emulate Mifare Tag (Android)

Hi guys, sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section, but here we go.

I have a Mifare tag which I have already "cracked" using mfoc on linux and dumped on my computer. I have successfully copied this dump onto a blank Mifare card so I know the dumping worked just fine.

I have been trying to emulate this dump on my Android phone now for about 1 year but I can't find a way to do it. Is it possible? I will buy a new phone if I have to change my phone in order to make it work but I just can't seem to find a way.

Is it possible with nfc-tools (nfc-emulate)? Or is there another tool I can just simply load the dump file on to and it will emulate the dump perfectly?

My htc m9 has a problem, how can i fix it? my phone has been s-off & unlock bootloader, ive up many kind of roms (android 6.0) like viper,skydragon,ice,ledroid....and several fimwares, everything seemed tobe ok when finish. BUT WHEN I TURNED ON CAMERA IT REQUIRED SD CARD( the message was 'please insert an sd card). and i can not dowload themes because of the message' Your storage is not enough.Please delete some content to make some free space" although my phone has 32g internal storage and has been full wiped when up new rom.
ps: wifi,network,.. ok when i used those roms ( ice,viper,ledroid,skydragon...)

Father need help with RCA Tablet

We have a RCA tablet model RCT6303W87DK running Android 5.0. I am able to log into the owner account just fine but my daughter has forgot her swipe code to login to her account on the pad. She took a bunch of photos and has other data that we would like to get to but cannot get into her account to get them. Helppp! My 1 week s7 isnt charging! :(

My problem start when Last sunday after i took a photo underwater then i was trying to charge it now, it do not charges. As well as my headphone jack is completely not working. But sometimes if i put it in a rice box it does back to normal and goes back to abnormal later on (charging and earphone). I also put it in a ricebox so the moisture is gone and then now my s7 is not completely charging. It is possible that there is still water on my phone right now? Last night I tried to download some games and let the screen on. And now this cracked me up. Cant charge. Please help me. What should i do? Im dying right now.

Ps. Whenever i shake my phone theres something sound that bouncing back inside it. Dont tell me, It is a broken hardware inside? (Please no) or a rice that entered my phone when im trying to let the moisture off? Please anyone? help me.

Nvidia shield on non shield device?

Ok i have been trying to figure out is it possible to have the shield app to connect to nvidia game stream i have the app but that feature seems to be disabled also i am aware of the moon light app but sometimes the stream is a bit unstable.

Voicemail not sending password tones via app

I programmed my voicemail phone number to *86,,000000#1 so that when I called the phone would wait for VM to answer before sending the password. It worked fine in Kitkat. Since moving up to lollipop, the app will not send the tones. If I create a new contact and use that with the same phone number, it functions fine. Is this a bug in the voicemail app. I've resorted to adding the VM number as a contact and setting it as speed dial 2.

Need help rooting Kyocera Hydro Wave

Hi have unfortunately bought the Android phone Kyocera Hydro Wave. While the phone is meh in general, it has sp many bugs with the kernel and sometimes opens applications happening. I got the phone n 2015 and got another phone in the next 3 months because its that bad. Before I keep talking crap about my old phone ( because it really sucks!!!!!!) I was wondering if I could root it?

Problem is I did a little research and use certain applications and it said "root failed". Does anyone ever rooted the phone because please tell me how? Also if people have some suggestions that would help :(

Phone unrooted itself now i can't re-root?

Today my apps were acting weird so i went to my superSU and it said

"there is no SU binary installed, and superSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"

Seems like I've tried everything to fix this problem. Flashed stock rom using Odin, reflash CF-root after that. Tried installation custom recovery (can't flash using recovery because my phone is encrypted unless there's a way to by pass that). Used different cords, ports, versions of odins. Still nothing. Had this problem since the morning it's now 8pm here so i decided to ask.

Anyone know how to fix this issue?

galaxy note 4 sm-n910f bricked

Please help i have note 4 bricked phone sm-n910f.
I can put in download mode. I tried to install custom rom then stock rom but it still keeps restarting after booting.
I tried everything that i can do.
It is my friends phone and he tried to change it's IMEI number.
Is someone can advise me something?

Gearbest Review? Came without Anti counter fiat label and opened box.

Hi MI 4 people.

I bought Mi4 (3 GB Ram) from gearbest.com. Prior buying it I asked them a question if their mobile phones are genuine and will/not have Anti Counter Fiat label on it that can be verified on official MI website which they confirmed me back within a day that it will have it with a 20 digit scratch code.

Well, the mobile came, manufacturer seal was already broken means box was already opened, then most importantly there was no Anti Counter fiat label as well on the box. I did made video of first time unpacking/unboxing of it directly after receiving it.

Mobile seems to work ok so far but I find it strange it came with google play installed already, I did hard reset as well but still google play + third party ram booster/cleaner that display some ads as well and I find it quite weird. How can I know if its genuine or not but one thing is for sure that gearbest lied about Anti Counter fiat label, still have their emails and going through paypal dispute.

Motorola Moto G4, not Lenovo Moto G4

(This was also posted at Moto G4 Plus, just to let everybody know).

After so much confussion with tech sites calling it Motorola Moto G4 and other Lenovo Moto G4, we found out that the devices are actually "Motorola Moto G4".

no beep on low battery

I asked this in the Verizon GS7 forum but got no answer so i'm asking it here where there's a larger audience.
I never hear any low battery beeps or anything when the battery gets low on my Verizon GS7. if i don't pay attention and plug it in it will quietly shut off on it's own when the battery goes dead. Is this normal? usually phones will beep and let you know the battery is low.

Can click on Always On Display or night clock

I can't click on either the Always On Display or night clock.

I don't really know why.

I do have several packages disabled using EZ Package Disabler. I looked and didn't find anything that looked like those two apps.

Any ideas.

Boot loop after attempting to 'flash a factory image | Return to Stock'

Firstly I hope that this is an OK place to post this if not could you please guide me to the correct location, also I pretty nooby at this.

My phone before hand;

I had successfully managed to install cyanogenmod from this forum thread using TWRP.
The Bootloader is unlocked.

What Have I done;

I wanted to return to stock and so I followed this guide.

I am now stuck in a boot loop at the after the bootloader, in my inexperience I feel it might be that there isn't actually a ROM installed due to this message appearing often "(bootloader) has-slot:partition: not found" or "(bootloader) has-slot:system: not found" as visible in the CMD log below.

is Rooting PD1 as simple as using Odin to flash the latest Version of TWRP?

I am running Stock PD1 unrooted.

Is Rooting PD1 as simple as using Odin to flash the latest Version of TWRP? Will doing this install the necessary files, or is there a different method for build?

UPDATE: I flashed the latest version TWRP using Odin. Everything worked, except that when I booting into bootloader there was no TWRP, it was stock android bootloader.

What did I do wrong?

possible device lock bug

Hi,

Can anyone confirm if they have the same issue. I have set up the lock with either code or finger print, but i have notice that i can sometimes get into the device without either.

Tap power button - slide screen up (to access code screen) - Hit Emergency - when emergency dial screen shows, hit the back button.

this has worked on my device a number of times, but i'm wondering if its a common fault, so something specific to settings i have.

[ZIP] [TWRP] Google Keyboard 5.1.07l122064301 from Nexus N Preview 3 with New Emojis

Extracted from the N Preview 3 for Nexus 6P and deodexed. New features such as themes and the ability to set your own image as the background on it. Also has a few new emojis which I haven't seen before.

Tested on my Pure running stock rooted 6.0. This is the arm64 variant, so if your device isn't 64-bit, don't bother trying to use it.

As usual, flash in recovery then reboot.

NOTE: The installer is meant to remove "LatinImeGoogle" in /system/app/ before installing this version. If your Google Keyboard doesn't have that folder named as such (ie you're using a custom Gapps package) delete the corresponding folder that has the Google Keyboard installed by the Gapps package.

How can i go to recovery mode on my Lg optimus l7 p700 ?

Hi everyone....i've followed your tutorials about rooting , instaling customs roms ect ect , and everything was okay i've installed many of cutom roms (cm10. aokp..ect) but finnaly i found in your site guys a stock rom named "V20E_HybridStock-Release01" , i instaled it it works perfectly but in the tutorial they said that i should install the "kernel" :fingers-crossed: ..but there is my probleme :( , when i installed the kernel my phone stay on the Lg logo and don't start :eek: and when i try to go to the recovery mode (volume up + volum down + home + on/off button) nothing happens the recovery mode don't show !

what should i do to enter the recovery again and re-install my stockrom :( ?? pleaase hellp !!! :( :( :(

Android Auto via WiFi

So it was announced today at Google I/O that Android Auto is going to be updated soon to be able to function over Wi-Fi. My 2015 Hyundai Sonata has a Wi-Fi connection. I can connect to any hotspot that I want. So, my question is do you think that the automaker will actually have to support this functionality and make some change in the car or is this all done on Google's side? Obviously, if the car maker has to make a change to support this then I'm guessing it is highly unlikely that existing car models will be updated to support this.

Soft Bricked Nexus 6P With Locked Bootloader (Need Help)

My Nexus 6P is stuck on the Android boot animation after installing the Android Beta OTA that came out today. I waited like 30 Minutes and nothing was happening so I tried Clearing Cache which did nothing then factory resetting, Clearing Cache & Even sideloading the OTA using ADB to no avail. My huge mistake was not having OEM Unlocking enabled so now I can't even flash stock android.. I know this is my fault for being so stupid but is there anything at all I can do to save my phone?

Unlocking Bootloader

I've been trying to get an LG G4 with an unlockable boot loader to flash a custom rom and I am at wit's end. My Amazon account showing all the returns is proof of this. I stumbled across the TMO variety and it appears to be able to have the boot loader unlocked, or maybe it just isn't locked at all.

If I buy a TMO variant will I be guaranteed able to flash a ROM? If so is there any disadvantage to this over, say, buying a European model?

Android N Preview 3 beta npd35k (flashable & image, no encryption & dm verification)

** THIS WORKED ON MY DEVICE BUT IT MAY NOT WORK ON YOURS. APPLY AT YOUR OWN RISK **

** The following are instruction for installing Android N Preview 3 image released by Google on 5/18/2016. After the installation you will have TWRP recovery 3.0.2-0 with the data partition erased and unencrypted if you use method 2, which means you will have ~ 3GB more space and ~ 10 seconds faster boot speed **

Always backup your data before flashing something a total stranger gives you!

Method 1: Flash update through TWRP recovery (keeps your data and current recovery)
1- You need to have TWRP 3.0.2-0 installed on your phone.
2- Download this flashable zip..
3- Copy to the phone internal storage and flash via recovery.
4- Reboot. Your data should still be intact and your OS is upgraded to N Preview 3 beta. If your internal storage is unencrypted before flashing it remains unencrypted.

Method 2: Flash update using a computer (wipes everything, unencrypts data, and upgrades TWRP)
1- ALL of your data including the internal storage will be lost so make a backup. (If you know what you are doing and you are coming from unencrypted Marshmallow you can modify the instructions to not lose data but I won't help you with that).
2- Download this file. Note that it is NOT a flashable zip.
3- Unzip into a folder of your choice on your PC.
4- Open a command window (cmd) and cd to this directory. then run the following:

5- Wait until prompted, then press key to reboot the phone.
6- Your data is wiped and your OS is upgraded to N 3 beta with unencrypted internal storage. Your TWRP is also upgraded to 3.0.2-0.
