Micromax a 121 wifi background scanning
My micromax a121 canvas scanning WiFi even WiFi is off.its consuming 20% battery.I searched in websites.they told me to disable WiFi/advanced/scanning always available.but the problem is "scanning always available". option not there in my jellybean 4.3. Micromax divice.I have rooted my phone but no custom ROMs available for this divice

Problem with sony video app
Hi, I have a problem with the app Video Sony, well it turns out that when you activate the option to play the video in the background, when I leave the app just freezes minimized and there is only audio, I remember you could see the video also while using other app because while not use that option and today I wanted to try.
Now if the problem is not because I have root. Someone else that has happened ?, indeed have the latest firmware 3.111. Thanks in advance for your answers.

[TF101] Unable to get into TWRP recovery after upgrading TWRP
Hi,
I rooted using:
OneclickrecoveryV0.4.2
Didn't backup my original stock OS, and couldn't book into an OS.
It was stuck in a loop, used OneclickrecoveryV0.4.2 to fix the loop.
Then it still did not boot into an OS. I put cm-10-20130929-NIGHTLY-tf101.
Worked fine. Wanted to try Katkiss 6.0. Did not seem to work with TWRP 2.5.
Download signed_twrp-2.8.1.1_tf101.zip. Installed it after booting into TWRP 2.5.
It looked successful and rebooted into OS fine. However, after I rebooted it, it is stuck now.
I can't boot into TWRP. It gets stuck at "booting recovery kernel image".
Help...please! I am not tech savvy at all... it took me hours researching to even get to this point...
Did I brick it? :confused:
My girlfriend will be throwing pots and pans at me if I can't fix this :rolleyes:

Me and my HTC Vivid are stuck in Limbo, somewhere between custom ROM and Root.
Here are all of the procedures I followed to see if you can help me any. Believe me, I've tried searching everywhere.
1. I downloaded the latest version of the Windroid toolkit, found here (http://ift.tt/1JdttQL). I saw it worked with HTC Vivid on 4.0.3, which was an old shattered phone I had lying around. That tool is pretty old, so I had no idea what the TWRP version it flashed for me, nor the version of the SuperSU it tried installing. (it downloaded it onto the device but can't install it.)
2. I unlocked the bootloader via the tool, then proceeded to flash the TWRP version it had to the device, it currently works fine (loading into recovery). But I opted not to create a backup for the stock ROM, so that's gone forever. And at this point I can't install the SuperSU because of an error in TWRP "Error executing updater binary in zip" (which I googled extensively to no avail, none of the fixes worked). And for some reason, my computer recognizes when the device is connected, but I can't adb push or fastboot flash recovery "file".img to the phone. I am exasperated and stuck.
Takeaway notes: No stock ROM, Unknown TWRP and Supersu versions. I can't install the SuperSu zip because of "Error executing updater binary in zip". I am not sure how to--if i can--push any other ROMs to my device, because it seems like I can't communicate at all with my device through my PC. Although the fastboot does say "FASTBOOT USB"

Samsung Galaxy s6 Not registered on network
Okay. so here is what happened. The new marshmallow update for the galaxy s6 came and i downloaded the update and started to install it. it failed at around 30% and rebooted my phone. I decided to try again and i downloaded the update and stll the same,but that's not the issue. after the second update attempt. i rebooted the phone that night and it was fine. but the next morning when i turned on the phone and tries to use my data connection it says not registered on network. My sim card is showing, i tried two different sim cards but the problem is still there. Im within the range of mobile service provider.
So what i did was i cleared the cache partition, the problem is still there.
i Factory reset my phone, the problem is still there.
So, Did anyone else face this problem?
If so, can you tell me how you solved it?
Can anyone help me with this issue.

How to flash custom recovery(CWM/TWRP) on an already rooted Samsung Galaxy SII (JB)

Can't get Boost APNs to stick
My phone is the Boost Mobile XT1526. Running Cyanogenmod 13 by squid2. The latest build.
I've been using the Boost APN found here, and even though it works, its not ideal. I'd rather use the APN that's built into the ROM or the APN I pulled from the stock ROM.
My problem is that, for the life of me, I absolutely cannot get the APNs to stick. The APN that's built into CM13, doesn't stick. It disappears. And if I manually add the APN I pulled from the stock ROM, that disappears as soon as I hit save. I have no clue why. The only APN I can use is the one I linked to above. But that one isn't ideal. But I'll use it if I have to.
Can anyone help me with this that knows more about this then I do? I'd really love to use either the built-in APN or the APN I pulled from the stock ROM, if its even possible.
I have data so that's not my problem. I just can't send or receive MMS messages using the SMS app in Cyanogenmod.

Major problems with Google Play
Hey guys. So, I got my BPXL about a week ago, and I instantly loved it. The first thing I did was reinstall all apps from my previous phone. All 180 apps. No issues (except for the -504 problems). Two days ago, I was prompted by the Play Store about some updates. I told my phone to update all apps automatically, but there was a list of about ten items that needed to be updated. "okay, whatever." So I initiated the downloads. About two hours later, I realized that in the notification drawer, the download for the very first app in that list was appearing as paused. Return to the Google Play Store, see what's up, and the download bar is just running running running, but never actually showing any download progress. Paused them all, tried to run them one at a time, same problem. Tried to install a new app, same problem. Tried all of Google's troubleshooting steps, same problem. Here's where it gets real fun: Performed factory reset of phone, same problem. Acquired replacement phone from Amazon, SAME PROBLEM.
Apps can be downloaded and installed from the Amazon Appstore, but Amazon's app market couldn't hold a candle to the Google Play Store. I'm totally at the end of my rope. Google doesn't know what to do, Blu doesn't know what to do, and I have no idea what to do. I have no idea what is causing these issues. Anybody had anything similar happen and know what to do?

[Request] Stock boot image
Well, I'm doing some experiments with my device but right now I messed its boot image and now it's stuck on "Sony Xperia" screen when I turn it on. Unfortunately, I can't simply reflash the firmware because Flashtool doesn't work with Xperia M5 yet. And, since I (temporarily) unlocked my bootloader, Xperia Companion/Update Service also refuses to do a software repair (because of the unlocked bootloader). And to close, Sony Emma Service (which is the official tool for devices with unlocked bootloader) simply say there's no firmware available for my variant (E5643). In other words, all I have at the moment is fastboot, and all I need is a copy of boot.img of a working unit in order to "ressurect" my phone.

Problem with DCIM Folder.
Hi,
I have lots of internal storage and SD card storage. But I can't click any pictures using camera. Camera says that there is no internal storage.
I have checked file system with ES file explorer. There is a folder called DCIM, but if I try to explore the folder then its says 'sdcard/dcim not found' and if I try to create a folder called DCIM, it says operation failed.
Please check the screenshots of the camera error and storage space status.
Please tell me how can I fix the DCIM folder?

What computer application to use to restore my .bak file to my note 4?
I have an unrooted note 4 on 5.1.1 and I created a backup using Wondershare Mobile Go, but when I tried to restore it, none of my files or apps would show up on my phone, even though the program said it finished transferring. And I made sure to set it as the default messaging app

Canadian s6 5.1.1 rooted with custom rom , call going voicemail
Hi evryone . I am currently on the xtresto lite rom but this issuse persisted on tyranus rom aswell. This 5.1.1 rom is giving me the issue where randomly calls go straight to voicemail. I read rogers updated the firmware to fix this but since i am on a custom rom i cant take advantage of it. I dont mind returning to stock i jus dont know how. Any help is much appreciated:o

"My Places" edge panel/widget is really useful
I don't know if people already know this, maybe it was already in S6 but I didn't get the S6 so this is new for me. Anyway it's really useful although not for its primary function. Basically it's an edge panel/widget that shows 4 app shortcuts you can have and changes based on your location. The cool thing is it can also change settings like put your phone to vibrate or turn off Wifi. I'm sure there are third-party apps that do this as this is Android, but I've always been somewhat of a purist, I'd use stock as much as possible because there is no ad and no additional background power drain etc..

Change menu button brightness?
I use my Tab in low-light a lot and was wondering if it was possible to lower the brightness on the Back and List buttons. They are a little too bright for my liking, but still need some illumination so I dont fumble around looking for them. I have xposed installed and didn't see anything along the lines I need.

My roommate is going to begin working on getting this device rooted. He told me to do that he needs the uncompiled kernel and source code (I believe, if that doesn't make sense please correct me). I have rooted my phone before by myself so I have a little experience, and can get temp root so far on the phone. Would anyone know how to acquire what he needs? Bootloop after Supersu
Hello,
I have a samsung S3 and cyanogenmod 13. I installed supersu because lucky patcher told me that my phone wasn't rooted (even though the root check was ok) and when I tried to install it (from the app. Launching the app was successful) that didn't work so it recommended me to go into recovery and install it from there. I have TWRP so after it was installed my phone got into bootloop.
Now I can't get out of it. I made a backup (while in the bootloop) and I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache but still in loop.
I seriously can't go through factory reset again. I did it a lot of times before and now I installed so many things on my phone and had it changed to my taste in a perfect way so I don't way to lose anything. And unfortunately I didn't make a backup in ages (only the one while in bootloop) and I don't have Titanium backup.
So what to do now ? How can I get out of the bootloop without losing anything ?
Or can I do a factory reset then restore the data from the backup I made without getting into the bootloop again ?

This is a post below from infidelity (a well respected NES ROM dev/modder). He states that he hopes that it "spreads around the internet like wildfire", so that this information will hopefully get out to the right people.
The issue for many, in being able to play many of the best and latest NES ROM hacks, is related to whether their favorite (or any emu they try on their preferred platform) has been coded to support (arguably?) the NES' most high performance and capable mapper: MMC5. EverDrive, PowerPAK, etc. owners are currently unable to run these games, as they also haven't implemented the mapper's support, yet.
Btw, on Android, I can confirm that Robert Broglia's NES.emu runs both of these ROMs great. It's a paid app, and well worth the price. There's a free fork of it (not as good, and several revisions back, but certainly a good and capable port). That would be NES.emu Free
Both of these games by infidelity are two of the best NES ROM hacks I've seen released...ever maybe. They're both pretty dang impressive at the very least.

The issue for many, in being able to play many of the best and latest NES ROM hacks, is related to whether their favorite (or any emu they try on their preferred platform) has been coded to support (arguably?) the NES' most high performance and capable mapper: MMC5. EverDrive, PowerPAK, etc. owners are currently unable to run these games, as they also haven't implemented the mapper's support, yet.
Btw, on Android, I can confirm that Robert Broglia's NES.emu runs both of these ROMs great. It's a paid app, and well worth the price. There's a free fork of it (not as good, and several revisions back, but certainly a good and capable port). That would be NES.emu Free
Both of these games by infidelity are two of the best NES ROM hacks I've seen released...ever maybe. They're both pretty dang impressive at the very least.

A vast majority of retail Nintendo games, range from the sizes of 513kb's/769kb's. With 2mb's of size, you have so much freedom in the PRG/CHR department. Speaking purely on the PRG-ROM, take my project "Zelda - The Legend of Link" for example. Without the PRG-ROM being maxed to 1024kb, there would be no Dark World, hell the Light World wouldn't be as big. There would be no advanced sound engine, no additional space for added assembly for enemies, or other various actions such as writing massive amounts of tile tables to the vram engine. Now take my other project "Super Mario All-Stars NES" for example. Without the PRG-ROM being maxed at 1024kb, there is NO WAY, that I would've been able to cram in those 4 games into 1. Speaking purely on the CHR-ROM, again, take ZTLOL for example. Without the CHR-ROM maxed at 1024kb, there would be no fancy CHR Swapping. By now everyone has seen my story introduction, with the Windwaker Link & Ocarina of Time Link. That is all performed by CHR Swapping. Have you ever seen or created a flipbook, using stick figures on each individual page, and on those individual pages, you have the stick figure in a different position each time you flip a page? That's basically what CHR Swapping is, the MMC5 allows you to swap out different CHR pages, to give the appearance of animation taking place. Without that 1024kb's of CHR-ROM space, that introduction would've never seen the light of day. Those two giant paragraphs pretty much sum up why I use the MMC5. It allows for so much creativity for the user to accomplish things, code wise & graphic wise. On top of those things, the MMC5 can allow the user to have 4 individual save pages of $6000-$7FFF! The user can either use that area for actual saving features, or, the user can use it as additional PRG-RAM, or even PRG-ROM! The MMC5 also has very advanced graphical features, making it so instead of a 16x16 block having an individual palette, you can now set all individual 8x8 tiles (like in Super Nintendo) to have their own individual palette! Me personally, I have not utilized that feature, if you want an amazing example of that in action, I highly suggest you look at kuja killer's "Megaman Odyssey." Answers To Some Remarks I've Seen His game doesn't work, it just shows up as garbage Answer: This is the #1 remark I've come across time and time again. There is nothing wrong with my game. The problem is with the emulator the player is using. The emulator obviously lacks the proper emulation of the MMC5 mapper. What is happening, is that the MMC5 reads pages 00-FF for the CHR tiles. But in my game(s), i have 4 individual 00-FF pages. So the emulator does not have that setup properly, causing garbage gfx to appear. Players sometimes like to stick to what they've been using for years & years, and don't like to update, or are just casual rom hack explorers, and find the easiest emulator on the internet they can obtain. In order to play MMC5 games properly, especially enhanced ones, it's recommended to update or obtain, the latest PC versions of FCEUX, Nintendulator, or Nestopia. PC emulators ported over to video game consoles, such as Xbox, PS3, Wii, various handhelds or smartphones, the porter needs to make sure the emulator he/she is porting, has MMC5 capabilities. Why Doesn't He Use MMC3? It's The Most Popular, They Work On Everything. Answer: MMC3 lacks the free space I require for additional PRG-ROM & CHR-ROM. There's no huge explanation for this one. :-/ I Tried This On The N8 Everdrive. It Doesn't Work Answer: The N8 Everdrive (and I believe the Retro PowerPak) uses two 512kb SRAM chips for PRG-ROM & CHR-ROM. I've contacted krikzz, the creator of the Everdrive devices, and he has no desire to revise his device, to incorporate 1024kb PRG/CHR-ROM chips. I even suggested I purchase the same style chips, only 1024kb's each in size, but he said there is more to it than the chips themselves. So enhanced MMC5 games will never work on those devices. It is up to the respected creators. The only way you will ever see these games on actual Nintendo hardware, is by people sacrificing crappy MMC5 games that have the required size, and destroying them so that these enhanced games can replace them. That Mario All-Stars Game. Why Didn't He Insert The Mario World Pirate As Well? Answer: That game alone is 769kb's in size. The 4 Mario games I had inserted into the PRG-ROM, made it impossible for that game to be alongside the others. There also would be no room for any kind of introduction screen, controller function, etc. That's all I pretty much have to say on all of that. I don't have the freedom to rom hack like I used to anymore. I'm not saying that I'm done forever, but I have zero clue as to when i'll ever get back to it. Anyways thanks for letting me get all of this out. :) |

Video record bug
Every time when I try to record a video the camera stops directly at 0.0 sec. Third-party camera apps can record without any error.. only the Google Camera app.
I tried;
- A data/cache wipe;
- Changing the resolution;
- Turning off battery optimization.
Any ideas/suggestions? The phone is fully stock with approx. 15 gb free storage.

HD7 4th Gen w. 5.1.2 - easiest way to get Google Play store only, no other tweaks
I originally posted this in the Fire HD forum, but was told the most up to date procedure was probably here. Is that true?
My situation is this. My main Fire is a Fire 5th Gen (the $49 one), and I got comfortable with using it JUST with Google Play installed and no other tweaks. I used the Rootjunky Supertool program and ADB to do that under 5.1.1.
I just got, as a secondary device, a used HD7 4th Gen. The previous owner must have had it upgrade to 5.1.2 recently, because that's what it came with. I'm aware that there are (probably even more reliable that with the 5th Gen) ways to back-apply FireOS4 and get the thing rooted without bricking it, but... at this point I'm not ready for that. Like with my Gen5 I just want Google Play on it.
What I don't know is if the current tools around to do that (like the Supertool) will WORK with an HD7 4th Gen and 5.1.2. I've been told in a general sort of manner that the procedure just to get a non-rooted Play store install should be "the same" as for the 5th Gen device, but that doesn't say to me that the Supertool would work. Or does it (since it just says "5th Generation" on it's descriptions)? And if not, what other took or script does?
I will say I already have Developer Mode and ADB access turned on, and even have a copy of ES File Manager from the Amazon Store on the HD7-4thGen, suspecting that one or both of those would come in handy. So what's next?

Cannot update HTC desire 816 dual sim phone after rooting it
Hi I have unlocked bootloader in my htc desire 816 phone and then rooted it, i have a problem when ever my phone is out of charge and switched off and when i keep charging FAST boot screen is appearing (i mean screen where we have options as such as hboot fastboot recovery clear storage simlock etc) .
this is appearing even when i tried to factory reset it.
This is screen is appearing when i tried to update my phone with Android 6.0 yesterday .
Please help in this regard what steps i have to follow.

Getting my 6p tomorrow. Suggested first steps?
Been looking through the root guide and of course will be unlocking and rooting. Should I first unlock, flash TWRP, load stock. Set up stock with my accounts and settings. Reboot to TWRP. Make NAND back up. Then root and then flash a rom? I'm still confused about the library IMG file. Will I need to do anything with it assuming the phone I receive was manufactured within the last 2 months?
Any other tips/suggestions would be much appreciated.

No sound or microphone outside of a phone call
No audio comes across speaker while playing music, etc.. Microphone also only works in a call. Google Now, etc. can't hear me talk.
I've tried different firmwares(via odin), kernels, and roms. No luck. Tried on both Lollipop and Marsh mellow. Anyone seen anything like this or have any ideas on solution? I figure its got to be software related since the speaker/mic work in the phone app once a call is initiated.

looking for some assistance.
basically, i live in australia and lately the centrelink website has been really unreliable, so i figured i would use an android emu platform to run the centrelink express plus app, the problem is no matter what i have tried, none of them will let me set it up... wondering if anyone has any ideas on why i can't run it on any of the emu platforms i have tried, used genymotion, andy, bluestacks and NOX, i get to the point where i need to answer one of my secret questions, but there is no button to click or anything once i get that far so i can't use the app at all....

Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 Charging Problem

I have a completely stock N8013. Recently, I've been charging the device but the % indicator stays the same even if charged for 10+ hours. I'm now down to 7%. I downloaded Ampere and I tried plugging into the wall socket and got around 1400mA, while on my laptop I got around 900mA, so I think the brick+cable are working. I also downloaded Repair Battery which IDed that about 5% of my cells were "bad" but it "fixed" that. Any ideas?

Car's OBD2 bluetooth connection drops when I hang up a call
I've had this problem on my last phone as well, not just the Nexus 6P, but I'm wondering if anyone can help me troubleshoot this REALLY annoying issue.
In my car, I have an OBD2 sensor that I use with Dash. It works great while Spotify streaming to my car stereo. It even works fine during a phone call (Spotify pauses), but Dash continues to work while I'm talking on the phone.
The second I end the call, my connection to the OBD2 sensor drops and I have to reconnect the app to the OBD2 sensor. The Bluetooth connection continues working fine for streaming music and phone calls, but the OBD2 to app connection drops. VERY rarely, I end the call, and it continues working as expected.

Here's what's going on.. When I sign in a new Google account.. I type my Email address.. Press next and then it shows loading (or the moving line) forever.. I somehow managed to sing in.. When opening Play Store it gives me all the apps and stuff.. When I press install it shows the download notification and nothing happens.. It keeps saying "downloading" forever.. It's not a WiFi issue.. Tens of Android devices I have tried on the same Wifi and they never had any of these issues..*
When I open a VPN app (Hotspot Shield) everything works as it should.. It signs in and downloads perfectly.. But I can't connect to a VPN every time I need to download/update an app.. Here's the things that I have tried so far.. BTW I tried EVERYTHING!!

Ram expander creates problem....
I have Yu yunique It has 1 gb of Ram.
So i found that there is a way for increasing Ram and that is Ram expander so i root my phone and install Ram expander. I've done all the things that is required to expand the Ram. But after this step i found that the phone becomes more unstable it lags more.. So i uninstall the app. Why this thing Happening.. My Yunique running on Cm 12.1 also is there any other way for optimise the phone for better performance...

Phone seems to turn on, but screen completely dark.
Hi,
My S4 SGH-M919 is having a problem where it appears to turn on, charge, and boot to the OS, but there is no response from the screen. The bottom buttons illuminate but the screen doesn't want to turn on. I've tried removing the battery and holding the power button down for an X-number of seconds, but this doesn't seem to do the trick.
Any ideas?

Nexus 5X Problem
Hi,

After installed Android N, I decided to go back to 6.0.1
So I unroll my device, downloaded the Marshmallow and after the installation when the phone is trying to turn on it starts to block, right after the GOOGLE logo and starts over, so all I can do is to let it starts over and over and over ...

Optimal NVS optmus gpu performance
Which is the best for performance and opengl es 3x support? given that Ferrmi cards aren't going be supported by the vulkan api by nvidia drivers.
1. To disable optimus and run the nvidia gpu using their Linux driver.
2. Same as above but run with Gallium driver.
3. Same as above but with Nouveau driver.
4. Bumblebee - is this even supported by Remix OS?
5. PRIME - Same question as Bumblebee is it supported?
I managed enable the nvidia gpu whilst in optimus mode using
nomodeset i915.modeset=0 nouveau.modeset=0 which ran Gallium llvmpipe but the performance was dreadful and the resolution was lowered, is Gallium llvmpipe a software renderer? is their a way to run Gallium hardware rendering the same as Intel gpu or is Nouveau the proper usage scenario?

Dolphin emulation performance?
I was curious if there were anyone using the Pixel C for emulating games. I think dolphin is one of the most resource intensive emulator out right now with good android suppprt
So for those who are using Dolphin, what type of performance levels are you getting with various games?

Thoughs on Supcase for S7. Good protection?
I got the Defender for the S7 and I actually like the case and it's rare but the screen protector actually fits pretty flush. Still not the best but improvement from past Defenders.
Anyways what is the Supcase/Unicorn Beetle like for the S7? I had one for the Note 5 and it was okay and had a great built in screen protector but the case felt kind of thin protection wise. Is the S7 one any good and offer good drop protection compared to the Otterbox Defender?

I have a problem with my brand new Galaxy S7 edge. It's a European model, unlocked, bought in the official Samsung store. It was working fine but yesterday it lost service for a while. I switched it in and out of plane mode and service was back. Today it suddenly lost service and nothing seems to help. Tried plane mode, factory reset, changing network settings. Sim card works fine with my old galaxy s5. IMEI and serial number are correct. Any thoughts?

S7E software problems or lag?
Anyone else having any glitches, lag, strange behavior, etc. I don't know if it's just me but my s6e+ seemed to run a little smoother on LP than new s7e on MM.
issues I have with mine:
After reboot the keypad for entering pin has input lag and sometimes erases
The notification bar will open blank when I have notification and then close and re open with notifications, sometimes it will open and phone will freeze for 3-4 seconds
If I am listening to music over Bluetooth in my car and I compose a text message and attach a picture, it cuts off my music and I have to press play again.
Hopefully we get another OTA soon that fixes some of this. Anybody else having issues?

I have been search through the post and I know the problem of changing DPI.
The most important things I need to do is to remain the LG apps to 640 DPI.
But I just have a question, whats exactly the list of LG apps I need to remain 640 DPI?
In the App setting, I found many keywords "LG" such as "com.leg.xxxxx.xxxx" something like that, do i need to change that also or just basically any Apps that comes with LG such as phone, SMS etc.?

Kodi on Nexus Player Crashes while browsing movies list (from NAS)
Hi. I have 3 nexus players. I've had kodi Isegard and now Jarvis on my Nexus players. Under Videos > Files, I'm using SMB to point the library to 5 different folders on my NAS which (combined) include about 900 video clips. When I go to the "Movies" section and start browsing the list, within about 15-30 seconds, Kodi closes without error or warning and goes back to the nexus player main screen. If I select and play a video before it has an opportunity to crash, there are no issues and I can watch the entire video with no issues. This happens on all 3 Nexus players, however, the same setup on my windows based PC does not have this issue while pointed at the same folders on the same NAS. The nexus player has over 4GB of free space as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Display Burn-in protection not workin
Hey guys, got my zenwatch 2 a few days ago, and I was always unsure if the burn-in protection was working so today I decided to make a timelapse video, and it confirmed my suspicion that it is not working. Tried with both pujie and a stock watch face.
I tried forcing it via dev options, but everytime I restart it toggles back to off, any idea how can I fix this?

but i see around only 200-300 mb RAM free , which is very less , opening several apps hangs phn.
so friends i request you suggest me any custom ROM that gives me around 600-700 MB ram free without any bugs .
Earlier i had Karbonn android One , with 1 gb RAM in that i got 800 MB free RAM. :)
Lenovo a6000 also has 1gb ram so why can't i get same 800 mb ram free like my older Karbonn Android one .

Note 5 theme with clock icon that displays the time
I'm looking for a theme for my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 that includes an icon for the clock that tells the time, like the original theme does. There are many cool things out there. None that I've seen so far that the clock icon displays the correct time.

Brightness slider issues - goes to min randomly
Hi Folks,
This issue happened a to a few times now within a short time frame. The problem is like this:
I set the brightness slider somewhere about 30-40% and have the auto mode on. This way the min brightness would not fall below the slider point (I assume and this is the way I had with all my andorid phones) and works quit well.
The issue I encountered is that the brightness slider would go down to minimum (auto is still there) on it's own and stay there. I didn't have any power saving options turned on as the phone is still burning in.
The only time I noticed this is in the evenings and night. Still wondering what's causing it.
Game service is disabled on my phone.

Custom ROM for Galaxy S6 AT&T
Hey, this is my first thread so I have no clue what I'm doing :D
Anyways, does anyone know any good custom ROMs for the Galaxy S6 AT&T version? I found stuff for different carriers, but very few for AT&T and the ones I found, I didn't like.
Also, lets say I rooted my phone and installed a custom ROM (God, I hope I am using the right vocab), that would void my warranty, but what if I "unrooted" it and went back to the original software? Is there a way Samsung would know?

Samsung Galaxy S5: Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update rolling out to users in South Kor
Recovery can't find any file, can't install any zip file
After I got my nexus 5x, I unlocked bootloader and root, and finally I go back official stock 6.0.1. But the camera didn't work fine(sometimes black screen, and then phone reboot). Have to flash CM13.
Following the guide, I did those steps strictly. Yet failed.

To go Custom ROM or not?
Hiyee people.
So I'm planning to go Custom ROM and I'm thinking, is it worth it? My warranty is about to lapse next month. What will I loose if knox has been tripped? Samsung Pay is not really a concern of mine since I have a feeling that it will never be implemented in my country. Enlighten me Custom ROM folks. :D

Best Android Call Forwarding App?
Hi XDA Community,
Wondering if anyone knows of an app that Has Call Forwarding capabilities so I can setup a number for my Business?
For instance, I would like 1300 328 940 for example and when clients call that number it gets redirected to my mobile phone.
Is there an app which needs phone to be rooted that unlocks all the goodies or anything you could recommend to me?

Nexus 6 Camera Flash shutting phone off.
Hello,
I'm having issues with my N6 every time i take a picture with the flash ON it shuts my phone off completely and I cannot turn the phone back unless i connect the phone back to any charger. I've tried a different picture app and I still have the same issue with the phone shutting off.

[HELP] Increasing WhatsApp Audio Quality
At first, it was very easy to improve whatsapp audio notes. You just had to edit the final AAC audio profile at system/etc/media_profiles.xml bumping it to 48 khz and 320kbps. The last compatible Whatsapp version I know was 2.12.412
Now they encode audio using .opus OGG plugin/encoder. I've looked some more files and i've seen there is an OGG Decoder of the refered codec, but no encoder, either a defined profile.
Can someone help me digging into the apk to see if it is hardcoded to the app?

Internal Storage Issue
hey friends i ported a Lollipop ROM for my MT6592 device but internal storage is not sowing but when i instal app it does but there is only one problem that user storage is not showing not either working i tried replacing /bin/vold and bin/sdcard and storage.xml from stock but that does not work any fix?????? thanks in advance

G2 D802 AICP LP Reboots During Call while on battery, screen off and in balanced mode
I'm currently on AICP LP stock kernel and stock kernel settings, but this happens in other CM-based ROMs as well as stock 4.4 ROM.
First it was rebooting during call, then I flashed different ROMs, to no avail.
Then I realized that it doesn't reboot when charging. So I suspected the battery, replaced it yesterday, no use.
This morning I found out that it doesn't reboot when calling with the screen on, and therefore I suspected it was some power saving settings that activate only when on battery and screen off, that causes the reboots during call.
I found the battery setting was in balanced mode, and changed it to performance mode. So far I made more than 30 test calls, no reboots.
So in short, reboots only occur during call while on battery with the screen off and not in performance mode, and in this situation they occur fairly often, like once every few minutes of calling.
Although it seems to be working now I'm still curious about what the problem really is. Since it reboots in a clean stock 4.4 KDZ install, I suspect there is a hardware problem (I haven't tried the stock ROM on the new battery though). What do you think the problem may be? What's the difference between performance and balanced modes that could have caused it? What further diagnostics can I do to find the real problem?

Audio output override
Hi I have a Nexus 6 and I got a little bit of water damage in the headphone jack that makes the phone think headphones are plugged in all the time. Is there anyway I could route the audio through the speakers or turn off the headphone jack all together? BTW I'm running the Android N preview. Thanks!

Gorrilla glass?
So I thought the gorrilla glass in these new phones are supposed to be top of the line? Or you would think since the front and back are both glass (correct me if I'm wrong).
Anyways the first time I drop my S7 I get a hair line crack about an inch long going right over my back botten.
I dropped my Note 4 (previous phone) over 100 times and the only thing that happened is i dent the metal frame a little bit.
Is it a pain to replace the screen yourself on S7 since the back is none removable?

[HELP] Constantly freezing, any solution?
Today this S6 Active started to freeze randomly, before even fully booting. I'm able to ODIN a firmware onto it but can't boot into Android, and even in recovery the phone will freeze (and go to a black screen). The LED indicator up top switches from blue to light blue consistently regardless of the mode.
Any help? What would be the best way to get this phone fixed? I no longer have an account with AT&T so I don't know if AT&T/Samsung would be able to assist me with this phone... please help :mad:

Unroot without losing any data

I've been able to use vcREG 1.5 on a 950XL to execute any exe file via services.exe, except it's getting stopped by Code Integrity. That's also why putting older NdtkSvc.dll doesn't work on the newer phone (aside from the fact that it has to be in c:\windows). I thought oh maybe any valid arm executable signed by microsoft would be enough, so I copied some executables from the Raspberry Pi Windows 10 IoT image, but I could only get them to run inside the app sandbox because they weren't in the system catalog :'(

Zenfone wont charge
yesterday i put my phone to charge while slepping and i had some technical problems with electricity in my home so the power kept coming and going so my charger got fried and my zenfone wont charge anymore with any adapter i tried using 4 others charge, tried connecting to pc, tried turning it on but still my zenfone wont turn on. when i press power button it makes 2 vibration it shows like its charging and the led than turns off. I know something in the phone got fried and i send it to service but they said they dont have parts, so im going to buy them online but i dont know what it got fried (usb port, battery or motherboard).
